(Definition) When you stumble through the house at stupid o’clock, cleaning up the mess so you don’t start the following daybreak depressed and overwhelmed, and, upon nosing a particularly SOUR smell coming from the bookcase, find a half-full sippy cup of room-temp milk left behind by a small person, and you stick it in the fridge, because you’re too tired to empty the milk and put the cup in the dishpan, and then, in the morning, pour yourself a strong cup of the elixir of life, and reach for the milk to find NONE because the inconsiderate little people used the last of it in their Cheerios, and then you spy that sippy cup half-full of milk, take it out, SMELL IT, and decide that it isn’t too spoiled to mix with your coffee; and then you add it, stir the resulting concoction, and drink it, feeling incredibly smug.
